Back in 2019 Tim Hox was working in the lab, researching a new sound called: ‘Hox House’. That sound made him the symphonic scientist he is to this day. Starting with an EP called ‘The Hox Program’, he found a way to re-introduce himself into the world of EDM. By getting support from names like ‘Hardwell’, ‘Don Diablo’ & ‘Oliver Heldens’, he knew ‘Hox House’ was the key in achieving his goals. It gave him the chance to collaborate with ‘Steff Da Campo’, which resulted in a release on ‘Hexagon’. This collaboration gave him the opportunity to let his sound spread through a bigger audience and sign at ‘Anna Agency’. Ending 2019 with a banger called ‘Energia’ on ‘Gemstone Recordings’, there was nothing standing in his way to develop his sound more and more. Hereleased 10 tracks in 2020 with highlights like a release on ‘Revealed Recordings’, a collaboration with ‘Moguai’ and producing one of the most played ‘Bass House’ tracks of 2020 (regarding to ‘1001tracklists’). Starting 2021 his release ‘Sisto’ pushed into even higher highs by being the most supported track within 4 weeks on ‘1001tracklists’. Looking forward into this year ‘Tim Hox’ has a lot in store with releases on major Dance labels.

Ferreck Dawn is all about the drums. They have to be heavy and physical to get his dance floors full, while the vocal details bring the all-important heart and soul. After 20 years in the game, this signature sound is what the Dutchman is recognised for around the world. It has taken him to every major club and festival, to labels like Defected, Repopulate Mars and Club Sweat and to the Beatport number 1 spot a number of times. "I like to please everybody on the dance floor," he says of this mix of the visceral and more emotional. Whether using original vocalists or digging deep for a sample, it is the melody, soul and texture of the human voice rather than the words that Ferreck is drawn to. And it has been this way since his international breakout tune in 2014: 'Love Too Deep,' with his friend Redondo, got signed to Spinnin Records, made the daytime playlist on BBC Radio One and led Ferreck to quit his job and pursue music full time. His early tunes soon got support from the likes of Carl Cox, Luciano and Green Velvet, and another milestone came with 'In Arms' on Defected in 2018. It became one of the most played tracks of the Ibiza season, reached the overall number 1 on Beatport and gathered over 70 million streams. In 2021, he repeated the trick of serving up a sizzling summer anthem and Beatport chart-topper with 'Back Tomorrow' together with UK powerhouse singer Jem Cooke, again on Defected. As with many of his tunes, global radio support and high-profile DJ plays helped make it a modern classic.Part of the reason Ferreck remains a chart-topping producer after nearly 20 years is his ability to do it all. He searches out interesting collaborators from different sub-genres to mix it up and find new inspirations. Whether it's David Guetta's house aliasJack Back, 'The Void' with Lee Foss, 'My Own Way' with A-Trak and Lord, he never stops evolving. Of course, the best in the scene also come calling for the famous Ferreck sound: he has remixed an a-list of artists including Diplo, Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Vintage Culture, Claptone, Oliver Heldens and many more. Ferreck traces his love of chunky bottom ends back to his earliest experiences of dance music. Growing up in the Netherlands, he was surrounded by gabba and hardcore. It swept him up and defined hisearly years as DJ Dusk. But the often high tempos and impenetrable grooves proved to be a creative dead end for him once he began producing. He had more to say and was keen to explore a wider array of moods and grooves so added a stylized version of his own first name, Freek, and flipped Dusk to Dawn. He gravitated towards a unique mix of powerful techno drums and emotional house vocals and Ferreck Dawn was born. As a DJ now, he understands people want to hear the signature Ferreck sound. So in the booth, he balances his own productions with tracks that speak most to him, as well as some carefully chosen classics and future gems. This means he is able to smash out a high-impact 90-minute festival set at Extrema Outdoor, but also go deeper and play all night long at cult clubs like London's Fabric, and everywhere in between.Fresh off the back of his first solo tour of the US, Ferreck has a wealth of new music coming with Meduza, Vintage Culture, Dom Dolla and Izzy Bizu. "If I won't play it, I won't release it," he says, "and I stand by that 200%." It is that quality control that has kept him at the top of his game for almost 20 years.

Hailed by the biggest Dutch radio station 538 as ‘Artists to Watch’ in 2018, Shefida and Jeremy aka Bougenvilla have quickly made their career a match made in heaven since first meeting in Rotterdam several years ago. With a penchant for building undeniable groove in their work, Bougenvilla’s bass driven, heavy house leaning sound has seen them achieve support from the scene’s elite, as well as release on some of the industries finest labels across the board. Their last release “Somebody To Love” on Future House Music opens up with an extremely unique synth and melody along with beautiful vocals that sit perfectly within the mix. The drop features bits and pieces of the vocal melody along with that unique synth repeating the pattern of the vocal along with a jumpy bassline to fill the gaps between the drum hits. This song is a sure-fire dancefloor anthem that will have you singing along and moving your feet at the same time. This perfectly demonstrates how the talented duo keeps on developing their producing skills. Showcasing their musical output on a wider scale after becoming a rising name worldwide, the pair have held down sets across renowned events and venues such as Ushuaïa (IB) Bootshaus (DE), Kitty Su (IN), Skygarden (IN) and Rotterdam stadium De Kuip, along with high powered festival sets across the likes of 7th Sunday (NL), Laundry Day (BE), Ritmos del Mundo (ES) and Wish Outdoor (IT) to name but a few. To top it off Bougenvilla went on multiple China tours one of them with Dannic, to play at well-known venues like Future, Sirteen, Play House, 15CM and MYST Club. Bougenvilla’s live showcase matches their drive to deliver in the studio. With recent releases like “CTRL ALT DELETE”,“Wildfire”, “Stranger Things”, “Somebody To Love” they received the support of world renowned artists like Martin Garrix, Afrojack, Hardwell, Oliver Heldens, Alan Walker, Steve Aoki & Tiësto just to name a few. Their musical showcase continues to expand to new heights, with fresh influences from Asia to add to their melting pot of ever evolving, dance-floor learning groove material.
A born entertainer with a burning desire to play music to people around the world, Sam Divine’s enigmatic sets are an effortless schooling in pure, unadulterated house. From her early days as the sole member of the Defected street team in Ibiza to fronting their radio show and now headlining some of the world’s biggest clubs and festivals, The First Lady of Defected, has become an intrinsic part of the UK house music scene.
The seeds of Sam’s DJ career can be traced back to a pair of belt drive turntables and a battered Numark mixer set up in her Mum’s shed; a pirate radio show broadcast from her bedroom using ‘borrowed’ equipment from the local college and MSN Messenger, and time spent expanding her musical knowledge working at Spin Central in her hometown of Weston-super-Mare and Chemical Records in Bristol.
Sam shows no sign of slowing down in 2020 with a number of Defected parties already in the diary, a return to the festival circuit, an Australasian tour and solo tours throughout North America and Canada. December will also see the return of last year’s sold-out Openers tour with Sam playing all night long across two weekends in December. 2020 brings new music in collaboration with Australian DJ and producer, Kormak, on Defected as well as a new EP on her own label. With her passion and dedication to her music beyond doubt, Sam Divine is a musician who will continue to evolve and grow.

Every place they go, they meet enthused crowds, full of anticipation of what's to come. Because a Firebeatz show is the sonic equivalent of a blow to the gut and a kick in the head.
